Outlook for the week of February 8 -12

Good Morning All!

After a long and unexpected absence, I'd like to get back to our blog!!!!

This week at a glance:

For Precalculus
Monday we began Chapter 6 Analytic Trigonometry, and discussed the meaning of arcsine, arccosine and arctangent, and their respective graphs. We will need to understand how to use our calculators to evaluate these types of problems, paying close attention to radian or degree modes.

On Tuesday, (a very snowy one) with only half of our class present, we began discussing the next section in Chapter 6 which covers a more in-depth look at trig identities and completed a few problems together at the board.

Assuming there is school tomorrow, (at this point I doubt it), we would not meet due to a 4th period block. Instead we will have a double period on Thursday, continue 6.3 and possible 6.4 and use the extra time for questions and/or quiet work time.

Friday will be 6.4 and or 6.5 depending on attendance and efficiency.

Please READ these sections. You will come to class much more prepared if you have already read over the material!!!!

For Algebra II, we have been working on our semester worksheets as well as problems from the first half of Chapter 6 (6.1 - 6.4) covering radicals. We have been simplifying/ adding/ subtracting multiplying etc with relation to rational/irrational numbers. We continued to review this material this morning, and if there is school tomorrow, we'll have a quiz on these sections. If not, we will not meet until Friday because of a 3rd period block on Thursday. If there is not school tomorrow, plan on the quiz on Friday.

For Algebra I,
