Outlook for the week of November 9 - 13
Hello All!
I am terribly sorry that last week's blog is missing; I'll put the assignments up anyway in case you need the problem numbers some time in the future.
For this coming week:
In Precalculus:
We are picking up some speed in Chapter 3 and we have been working on 3.3/3.4/3.5
Everybody is putting a little extra effort and it shows!
Keep up the good work!
We're looking at a test Wednesday and/or Thursday. Due to such time constraints, I'll either make the test two periods, or make part of it take home.
I expect to be through Chapter 3 by the end of this week.
For Algebra II:
We are still working on Chapter 4 which concerns matrices. You all are doing a great job, and this chapter is very unique and interesting. We are learning to add, subtract, and multiply matrices. We are calculating the determinant, and now we are learning about identity matrices and taking the inverse of a matrix.
Neat stuff!!!!
This week I would expect to finish all of Chapter 4 since we are probably about 3/4 done already. We'll have some test midweek on Wednesday and/or Thursday with either two periods allowed or part take home.
Keep up the fantastic effort!
For 8th grade Algebra,
We are finishing up Chapter 3. We have been doing ratios and percents these last couple of days in class and 3.9 which is the section on percents is the last section in the Chapter so expect a Chapter 3 (second half) test on Tuesday, or possible Wednesday if there is some unexpected delay.
After Chapter 3 we will begin a chapter all about graphing points and lines on the coordinate system in x and y. Please have some graph paper, and if possible a straight edge. Get ready for something new and exciting!
For Physics,
We'll begin the week with a continuation of Chapter 6 - Work and Energy with a test (part take home) around Wednesday. Thursday, we'll begin Chapter 7 - Linear Momentum
Problems will follow on line in the next few days.
Have a super week everyone!
Looking forward to seeing you!
