Welcome back to the Spring blog!
Hello to Everyone!
After taking a blog break (you all keep telling me that nobody reads it), I will resume this blog to help me plan for the last quarter of the year, and perhaps you will make use of it too!!!!!
It's great to try something new!!!
Third quarter ended on Friday, March 27. It is nearly impossible to believe how fast time is flying.
There is a huge amount of important information for the 4th quarter, and I will lay it out for all of us so that we can most effectively plan our time.
We first need to realize that there are just 5 school days left before our Passover break. I know you've heard me say this many times before, but let's use these days wisely, and not get into vacation mode yet!
In Physics, we'll wrap up Chapter 19 (Circuits). With the boys basketball tourney in NY last week, some of you will need to catch up, hopefully with my help and the help of some of your classmates who were here those 3 days.
I want to begin Chapter 20 (Magnetism) before we go on break. This chapter is represented on the AP exam, and it is a difficult chapter that you will need to read, and re-read. It is very important that you understand it well.
Over the 2 week break, I would like to get together with those of you taking the AP exams in both Physics and Calculus. We will work around the holidays; there will be many opportunities to get several good productive hours of study time in. Please don't let this time get away!!!
You need to realize that when we return there will be just 2 weeks before the exams!!! It is imperative that we study over break. Please come up with a schedule and a plan that works for you. I will be in town the entire time, and I can meet you all wherever, whenever.
There are a couple of concepts that I would like to get through in Calculus before the break. Again, half of the class is doing well with calculation of area under curves or between several functions, and we still must cover volumes. I would like the class to have a good handle on both of these subjects (7.2 and 7.3) by the end of this week.
I'll be writing a lot on the blog from now until after the AP exams. Please read it so you get an idea of time, plan your time wisely. It is officially CRUNCH TIME and the beginning of May is much closer than it seems.
I will do everything I can to help you prepare for the tests. I want you all to succeed and score well.
Will write more later.
