Assignments for the week of November 5 - 9

Good Monday Morning!

For Physics:

We will begin the second quarter with Chapter 6 from our text - Work and Energy. We'll go over the test on satellites and gravitation on Monday, and begin discussing Chapter 6. Tuesday and Wednesday we will work problems (to be assigned) and Tuesday have a test over this material. We need to pick up the pace just a bit.... we should be completing one chapter per week or so.
Thursday and Friday of this week will be workdays for your assigned problems.

For Calculus:

We will begin the second quarter with section 3.5 from our book. This section deals with derivatives of trig functions. We will soon cover the Chain rule, implicit differentiation, and derivatives of inverse trig, exponential, and logarithmic functions . For all of the remaining sections in Chapter 3, all odd problems should be done unless otherwise stated.
Thursday and Friday of this week will be workdays -- 3.5 and 3.6 odds.

The first quarter grades were outstanding. The key to both of these classes is to work many problems. The more you do, the quicker you become and the more confidence you will gain. Please keep up this level (or even better) of motivation. Our goal should be success on the AP exams in the spring.

Have a great week.

Mrs. Little
